Welcome to The Old Vicarage Guest House in Southern Snowdonia, our 5* luxury B&B and home. My name's Kirsty and I look forward to welcoming you!

ABOUT US

Hi friends, We're Kirsty & Gareth, and we are very proud to call The Old Vicarage our home. She is a beautiful old slate building, in Welsh ‘Yr Hen Ficerdy’, built in 1875, beside a little stream and fits handsomely in our forest backdrop. We are situated in the beautiful Dulas valley, surrounded by dramatic scenery and lots of options for adventure. It is an ideal location for walkers, mountain bikers, photographers, plane and train enthusiasts, to name a few. From the breakfast room you can observe the puff of steam from the passing Corris steam train, watch the jets perform mid week training down the Mach Loop, unwind after a hike up Cader Idris, or head round the corner to Dyfi Bike Park for some extreme downhill biking.

As far as curating your experience and running the B&B, that's done by me, Kirsty, I will be your primary point of contact throughout your entire experience. I hold many self-proclaimed titles running the business, heading up many departments of 1; executive chef, head of maintenance, head of housekeeping, social media, marketing and sales lead, web designer, chief experience officer, lead cake tester. The office Christmas party is a hoot. (Gareth nervously leaves me to it as I set off with a hammer and a pot of paint, whilst he holds down a 'real' job in an office!)

Look out for our sign on the road.

If you are travelling south on the A487, we are the first property on the right after the Corris village turn off and round the bend.

If you are travelling north on the A487, we are 7 minutes out of Machynlleth, look out for a small waterfall on the left just after Maespoeth steam train station, and we are the next driveway on the left. Slow, as the drive way goes sharply back on yourself (if you reach the Corris village turn off, you've gone too far!)
